Ardh Kumbh Mela 2019 – Goes eco-friendly.

The Ardh Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj that started on 14th January 2019, is all set to go bigger and better this time. To make this possible, the government are taking a few steps. According to the Prayagraj’s Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, the area for the event has been doubled this time.

In the report, earlier the mela was provided with an area of 15-20 k, while it will be spread over an area of 45 km this year. Moreover, this 55-day long fair will also play host to various heads of missions from different countries. 

The Kumbh Mela has gone eco-friendly this time and would be promoting and encouraging the use of jute bags and terracotta utensils amongst the visitors during their stay. This time, at Ardha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, there would be around 48 milk booths and over 40 food stalls in the food court area. We can experience a wide variety of religious food in the Kumbh Mela.

This time, no worries for Natures call and hygiene for the visitors and tourists, as the authorities are also taking care of differently-abled pilgrims by providing them toilets to relaxation houses. It will be effective from December 15, 2018, to March 15, 2019. Nearly 1,22,000 toilet facilities are being constructed in the region for the convenience of the visitors. Around a lakh swachagiri shave been deployed to look after the hygiene and cleanliness.
