Not many stars have created a fan base for themselves as Simran did and even after being in the industry for years, she makes us go crazy for her. Also, Simran is one of the very few actresses who has broken the stereotype about the married actresses and their career.

Simran in a throwback interview spoke about how marriage has never been a hurdle for her career.

She said: “Many think marriage would pose a hurdle to their career. But it’s OK to get married and work; I have always kept my life balanced. I work day and night, and have worked in multiple cities. I was missing my house, parents and hardly went home for Diwali or Holi. When I found a compatible person, a friend, I just didn’t want to wait for many years to get married. I was 28 when I tied the knot. I took some time off, and have always told my partner that I will only take up work that I enjoy doing. I got Chandramukhi after marriage, and I signed the movie. But when I got pregnant, I told them about it; they congratulated me and let me carry on with my life. Post my delivery, I again came here and shot for my television shows. I also did Vaaranam Aayiram, Aintham Padai and Seval post motherhood. Vaaranam Aayiram even fetched me awards. After my second child, I did a dance show, which was a hit. I am proud of the way my life and career have shaped up. But this mindset should change. It is my humble request to filmmakers to give good roles to talented actors — they must change the mindset that married actresses can’t act with heroes.”

On the work front, Simran will be seen in an action-adventure with Trisha, their second movie together after Petta.
