Raw honey is a treasure chest of nutritional value and medicinal remedies.  According to Ayurveda, honey is the nectar of life.  Raw honey is medicine but cooked honey is slow poison.

Here are the simple benefits of honey that you must know:

Burns – Apply freely over burns.  It cools removes pain and aids fast healing without scarring.

Bedwetting – A teaspoon of honey before bed aids water retention and calms fear in children.

Insomnia – A dessert spoon of honey in a mug of warm milk aids sleeps.

Facial deep cleanse – Mix honey with an equal quantity of oatmeal and apply a face pack.  Leave it for half an hour and wash.

Anemia – Honey is the best blood enricher.

Sore throat – Combine two tablespoons of honey with four tablespoons of cider vinegar, add a pinch of salt.  Gargle the mixture through the day to soothe your sore throat.

Hiccups – Mix one teaspoon honey and 1 tsp of castor oil in a container.  Dip your index finger into the mixture and lick it.  Repeat every 10 minutes till hiccups stop.

Oral ulcers – Apply 1 tsp of honey and a pinch of turmeric.  The mixture generates saliva spit it out to speed healing process.
