DMK Parliament representative Kanimozhi has been pulled into yet another controversy. Kanimozhi who attended World Atheist Conference in Trichy had apparently passed comments on Tirupati Venkatachalapathy. The MP at the meeting reportedly said that, during a visit to the temple along with some other MPs, one MP told her that why she can’t believe in god when “all their wishes are being granted and they are being protected.” She further reportedly added, “I then asked him, there is a hundi right in front of the God. Why is there a security personnel with a stun gun protecting it? People who run the temple are not confident that God can protect the hundi. Why should I believe in God?”, she said. Owing to her comments, The Hindu Munnani, group from Tamil Nadu, has supposedly filed a complaint with Chennai police commissioner against DMK MP Kanimozhi.
