The lions are back this year and they are already roaring. The Chennai Super Kings have added a ‘G’ to their two-year ban and are already leading the IPL with 12 points having lost only a few matches. While the fans have already caught the ‘Yellow Fever’ here are some reasons why the Chennai Super Kings might bag the trophy this year.

SPORTING LUNGI:People may make fun of Chennai’s clothing ‘Lungi’ but the right-hand bowler Lungi Ngidi is not to be made fun of. Due to his father’s demise, Lungi was unable to attend a few matches. But ever since his return on the match against Delhi Daredevils he took out Rishabh Pant who was giving the Chennai players a run for their money. Because of Lungi’s dangerous wicket Chennai was able to beat Delhi by a total of 3 runs.

PLAYER’S RELATIONSHIP WITH FANS:The CSK players may have been treated badly by some protesters, but that did not stop them from being dedicated to their fans. Before the beginning of the tournament, DJ Bravo took on to Twitter for a special video message for the fans. Bravo said ‘blessed and honoured to be retained by the Chennai Super Kings’. Furthermore, he added “I am very happy and excited to be back in yellow. To all our CSK fans eagerly waiting, this IPL we are back.” The other CSK players too expressed their reactions. Raina tweeted ‘Thank u Chennai missed you in IPL can’t wait for Chennai super kings again in IPL and best fans ever’ These messages just warm up the hearts of the yellow army.

TRIPLE THREAT:CSK has the ideal team this year amongst the other teams. Even though all the players give in their best, the ultimate threat comes from the Watson-Rayudu-Raina combo. Being in perfect sync with each other, the audience just yearn for their fours and sixes.

If Watson, Rayudu and Raina pose a threat, then our ‘Thalaivar’ Dhoni brings down the thunder. He may miss a few balls but once he hits he finishes off in style. One of the remarkable moments of Dhoni in this IPL is the six he hit where he sent the ball flying to a good 108m. Captain cool sure roars the loudest.

ELEMENT OF SURPRISE:The best part about watching a cricket match is the thrill of it. Since the opening match the Chennai Super Kings hit the hardest and take on good wickets in the final few overs. Though it may seem odd, it takes the other teams completely by surprise giving the audience a mind-blowing thriller.

There are still matches to be played and Sunrisers Hyderabad seem to be on their tail, yet it is an undeniable fact that there is a mighty chance, hope we get to see DJ Bravo’s victory dance at the finals and the Kings in yellow lift the trophy for the third time.
