Veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna has died at 70 at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital. According to the hospital, he breathed his last at 11.20am on Thursday. He was suffering from advanced bladder carcinoma (bladder cancer).
“Doctors and family were expecting a recovery but somehow his condition escalated and he succumbed today afternoon,” said a hospital source.
He was hospitalized in April first week due to severe dehydration but was later said to be stable and responding positively to treatment. The actor, often called one of the most handsome men in the industry, featured in as many as 146 films. Some of his most well-received works include Mere Apne, Insaaf, and Amar, Akbar, Anthony. He was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale (2015).
